In my work I portray the world as I see it with all of its observable imperfections, in order to capture the intrinsic beauty of the grotesque. As a direct influence of my technological surroundings my latest body of work has stepped foot into the digital realm. My process begins by hand with pen and ink illustrations which are then colored and reworked on the computer. Other works of mine include more traditional techniques such as oil painting and screen printing. Through illustrating the impermanence of life I try to remind the viewer that death is a natural and inevitable occurrence. As an artist I try to escape the futility of existence rather than accept it. Nothing bears more importance to me than self expression through the production of artwork. Making thoughts and feelings tangible is both the challenge and reward of being an artist. • Ask me anything
